A questionnaire was written and mailed in April of 1994 to all the drivers licensed in the Ohio bioptic driving program.

Over the next three years 38 individuals successfully completed the program requirements and obtained driving privileges. The first applicant was admitted to the program in May of 1991. The evaluation and training program uses optometrists, O&M specialists, occupational therapists, and driving educators.
